Antonio Vidal Fernández was an influential figure in Cuban modern art, active across painting, drawing, engraving, graphic design, and sculpture. Between 1953 and 1955, he was a prominent member of the Grupo "Los Once" in Havana, spearheading the abstract expressionist movement in Cuba. In 1962, he co-founded the Taller Experimental de Gráfica de La Habana.
